Twin Set like a lady with TY-LR
It’s no secret that I am a fan of a matching twin set but more often than not, twin sets are usually short, cropped, tight or, god forbid, a combination of all three. So I could hardly contain my excitement when I previewed the Launch collection for new Australian label TY-LR and came across this blush (my fave colour of the moment) twin set. There is nothing short cropped or tight about it, in fact it is everything but. Long, floaty wide leg trousers paired with a beautifully tailored matching top which features an oversized tie and exposed zip at the back. This outfit is the epitome of style and elegance and I can imagine the likes of Amal Clooney and Robin Wright from House of cards getting about town in this ensemble.
Before I traipse on about how amazing absolutely EVERYTHING he designs is, let me give you a little background info on Chris and the TY-LR brand. For the past seven years Chris was the creative director for Australian retail giant Harris Scarfe where he was personally responsible for many of their successful business ventures, most notably the Harris Scarfe x Vera Wang collaboration. Prior to this, Chris worked as a buyer for Adelaide’s infamous Miss Gladys Sym Choon and also spent time as a designer for Bridal label Suzanna Lucci.
Chris has experienced great Success throughout his career in fashion and he quickly made his way up the corporate ladder, which, anyone will tell you is an extremely difficult feat to manage. Thankfully, Chris never lost sight of his dream to one day develop his own label and I am beyond excited to tell you that this time has come.
TY-LR, which will launch within the next couple of months, has quickly filled a gap in the market which, I never knew existed. I always knew that the Australian fashion Industry was limited when it came to manufacturing, costs and design and almost always, something would have to be compromised. This is the gap which Chris has managed to fill.
The TY-LR label compromises absolutely nothing.
Every single design is unique and has been created with the utmost attention to detail. Bespoke fabrications and exclusive prints are not the only element that set TY-LR aside from other labels. The price points of the collection are incomprehensible if you compare them to similar designers in the country. All this aside I can confidently say that TY-LR will be a one stop shop for many women in this country and hopefully worldwide. There is something for everyone ragardless of what your style is, how old you are and whether you are pear-shaped or straight up and down. What we all have in common is that we are strong, powerful, unique fashion forward females which epitomises the TY-LR woman.
Here is one of my many favourites from the TY-LR launch collection, stay tuned for more.
