The Winter Maxi Dress
It’s officially the first day of winter and not surprisingly so the coldest freaking day of the year so far!
Unfortunately, for most of us that means that our summer clothes have finally reached the furthest confines of our wardrobes. I always try to keep rotating them by layering as much as I can for as long as humanly possible but unfortunately now it is just far too cold.
While I absolutely adore winter fashion, the part that really pulls at my heart-strings is having to bid farewell to my easy throw on summer dresses for the remainder of the year-It is quite the daunting process. There are some days that just require an easy throw on dress and winter usually makes it exceptionally hard to facilitate this need.
The reality is that most of the time, dresses don’t do a great job of keeping us warm and the ones that do aren’t usually the ones we want to be seen in.
Unless of course you own this dress and *abracadabra* problem solved.
I am so excited to have found the perfect winter dress that is both aesthetically pleasing and warm enough to wear in winter. Easy to throw on for those days where thinking and planning are the furthest things from our minds it can be dressed up with boots or dressed down with sneakers. The splits on either side make it great for layering pieces underneath like your favourite pair of leather pants which might also add that extra bit of warmth if required.
