The Bare Necessities
The last few months have been absolutely manic with work over at Channel 9. As most of you are probably aware the TV week Logies were on a few weeks ago and in total we had to dress around 80 people who were in attendance. It is always the busiest time of year for us and this year was no exception, in fact, I think this year was quite possibly the most insane of the lot!
Logies preparation goes hand in hand with minimal sleep, extra long work days, back to back fittings, little time for breakfast or lunch and as you can imagine absolutely no time (or energy) to exercise.
My workout regime usually consists of a solid five day week so not being able to train consistently for two months really took its toll on my life. My body usually remains the same but my mental state is completely rocked when I’m not able to exercise. I find it difficult to get to sleep and stay asleep, I become exhausted quickly throughout the day, I dont feel as upbeat and positive and I seem to become less organised than I usually am.
Thankfully, the minute the Logies was done and dusted I was able to begin my love affair with the gym again and I am proud to say I have been to every class religiously for the last two weeks (go me!!).
Theres nothing like a fresh set of workout gear to get you back in the mood for exercising and Running Bare provided the perfect little ensembles to keep me motivated.
Look, If I am completely honest Running Bare havent been a go to activewear label for me in the past, however I have since turned a new leaf. On a visit to view the range at Running bare HQ I was absolutely taken aback at how vast the collection is and how exceptional the quality is. On further inspection (and research on my part) I came to learn that 70% of the collection is made right here in Australia which is always a huge selling point for me as I always prefer to shop Australian made product and support local manufacturing.
I am such a huge fan of statement tights and printed crops and the Running Bare range had an endless supply of them that I really couldnt decide which ones to shoot. I thought I would stick to the monochrome and shoot these black, grey and white forest print pair that I absolutely love. The beauty of this set is that you can mix and match them with your other activewear or wear it all as one. The other item I chose to shoot were these full length teal tights. perfect for training in winter and I absolutely fell in love with the colour. For those of you who dont like bold patterns or colours in your activewear wardrobe but need an alternative to black, these are perfect!
