I have spent the last week exploring the craziness that is the city of Tokyo. This trip marks my second visit to the “sleepless city” and just like the first time I am absolutely in awe of this place. I will put all my adventures up in a travel post upon my return to Sydney but for now I thought I would share a quick outfit post with you all considering there’s been a decent hiatus on the blog of late.

The weather in Tokyo has been absolutely perfect. Highs of 25 and lows of about 19 in the evening with the sun out shining all day everyday so far. It has been the perfect weather for walking around and exploring the city as it’s not too hot and not too cold. Naturally I planned all my outfits well and truly before I left Sydney and this outfit has to be one of my favourite travel outfits I’ve ever worn.

I picked up this akubara from Zara before I left and it allowed me to seamlessly blend into the Tokyo fashion scene because as it turns out EVERYONE here owns an akubara #winning! The lovely ladies at Lulu and Rose sent me these black cullottes just in time for this trip and they are the comfiest pants I have ever worn. Perfect for the weather and perfect for travelling ( I even wore them on the plane). Now let me tell you about the vest I am wearing (which actually happens to be a dress)…From new (and favourite) Australian label TY-LR this grey pinstripe dress is way more versatile than it looks. On this day I wore it as a vest but it can be worn buttoned up at the front and tied or even half buttoned up with pants or a skirt underneath.

Finished off with a neck scarf and Adidas kicks…Voila!
