Breast Cancer: The most common Cancer affecting women worldwide will see approximately 15,270 Australian women diagnosed just this year. As incredibly alarming as these statistics are it is important to remember that the majority of women will beat the disease.
Last week the Pink hope team contacted me to see if I would like to jump on board and support this years campaign, and it really was a no brainer. Like many of you, I too have been affacted by breast cancer and, while not directly, I have witnessed the toll it takes on peoples lives.
There are many fabulous Breast Cancer charities out there but the Pink Hope foundation is a little different. It is the only Breast Cancer charity in Australia that focuses solely on Hereditary Breast cancer prevention and this Friday will mark the third year for their highly successful ‘Bright pink lipstick’ day campaign.
The Campaign aims to encourage Australians to start a conversation about their families hereditary health, specifically their risk of Breast and ovarian cancer.
This year the incredibly beautiful and talented Jessica Hart has jumped on board to collaborate with Pink hope, creating an exclusive lipstick for ‘Bright pink lipstick day’ through her newly launched brand LUMA buy Jess Hart cosmetics.
So tomorrow, Friday the 26th of September, make your pout count and buy the Pink hope Lipstick from Jessicas new range and support this wonderful chairty. We can all pull together to make a difference!
Head to www.pinkhope.org.au for more information on how to be involved and to purchase the Campaigns exclusive lipstick.
